The Compassion of Christ

Good Afternoon, I hope everyone s doing and feeling well. This week’s prayer  is about modeling our lives after The Compassion “Jesus” Week Five Thursday/Friday prayer 4/19/2013

Lord Grant us a Heart of Compassion

I was asking The Lord what he wanted me to pray about this week and he said compassion which really surprised me, because we are in a season of outpouring and I know the Lord wants his people to be ready to receive but ‘The Lord just gave it to me as plain as needed ‘ we have to position ourselves to receive.

But I have a better understanding of why. We as people ask the Lord to receive his blessing but some of us as people do not have his character, how can we expect to take one part of his cup and not the other, it does not work like that

3 John 1:2  Beloved, I wish above all things that you may prosper and be in health, even as your soul prospers.

Have you guys noticed in scripture, there are several mentions of The Lord Jesus showing compassion, how can we say we are his and we don’t do the same?

“When Jesus saw the crowds, he had compassion for them.” – Matthew 9:36

And Jesus, moved with compassion, put forth his hand, and touched him, and said to him, I will; be you clean.  Mark 1:41

HOW CAN WE SAY WE ARE HIS IF WE DON’T LIVE A LIFE OF COMPASSION?

We Are All in This Together

No one is better than anyone else, It does not matter what gifts or talents we have or what we have no one is better than the next person. When people are down in life and going through, the Lord wants us to lift one anther up not try to make things worse but with love in Christ Jesus lift our neighbor up no matter race color, or creed.

The Kings of Kings and The Lord of Lords washed his disciples feet, now if  The Lord himself can humble himself and he is the creator and owner of all. How dare any of us as humans turn up our noises to anyone, we have no right!

John 13:1-17

13 Now before the feast of the passover, when Jesus knew that his hour was come that he should depart out of this world unto the Father, having loved his own which were in the world, he loved them unto the end.

And supper being ended, the devil having now put into the heart of Judas Iscariot, Simon’s son, to betray him;

Jesus knowing that the Father had given all things into his hands, and that he was come from God, and went to God;

He riseth from supper, and laid aside his garments; and took a towel, and girded himself.

After that he poureth water into a bason, and began to wash the disciples’ feet, and to wipe them with the towel wherewith he was girded.

Then cometh he to Simon Peter: and Peter saith unto him, Lord, dost thou wash my feet?

Jesus answered and said unto him, What I do thou knowest not now; but thou shalt know hereafter.

Peter saith unto him, Thou shalt never wash my feet. Jesus answered him, If I wash thee not, thou hast no part with me.

Simon Peter saith unto him, Lord, not my feet only, but also my hands and my head.

10 Jesus saith to him, He that is washed needeth not save to wash his feet, but is clean every whit: and ye are clean, but not all.

11 For he knew who should betray him; therefore said he, Ye are not all clean.

12 So after he had washed their feet, and had taken his garments, and was set down again, he said unto them, Know ye what I have done to you?

13 Ye call me Master and Lord: and ye say well; for so I am.

14 If I then, your Lord and Master, have washed your feet; ye also ought to wash one another’s feet.

15 For I have given you an example, that ye should do as I have done to you.

16 Verily, verily, I say unto you, The servant is not greater than his lord; neither he that is sent greater than he that sent him.

17 If ye know these things, happy are ye if ye do them

You don’t have to like them or even deal them but love them and treat them with respect just because they are a fellow person that was created by The Lord Himself. Jesus even knowing that Judas would betray him the Lord did not leave him out “he washed his feet too’ but showed him love, although judas ultimately betrayed The most high Lord and he is this day in the worst part of hell, where words cannot describe his torment.

The Lord Jesus truly is long suffering with us!!

There is very powerful but simple scripture in The Word of God

Matthew 5:37 But let your communication be, Yes, yes; No, no: for whatever is more than these comes of evil.

Okay basically put The Lord made these guidelines on how we can , NOT make it difficult for others, don’t lie on people, gossip or assume anything about anyone… The Lord actually warns us of that.

Romans 3:4 By no means! Let God be true though every one were a liar, as it is written, “That you may be justified in your words, and prevail when you are judged.”

Ok before we as people gossip and slander someone based on a lie or an assumption, so that we are not judged IT’S BEST TO SHUT UP!

Let’s Pray

Let’s ask the Lord to birth compassion in us, please let’s all just thank The Lord for what he has already done in our lives and what he is about to do as The Lord just spoke to e and said he is going to open the windows of heaven on our lives ‘BUT’ we have to be positioned to receive. I am just a person i have no power The Lord Jesus gives the direction about the prayer as he knows people need poured into them, I do not. According to

Lord Grant us a heart of compassion so we can love each other unconditionally, so we can encourage and lift each other up as we go through the different seasons in life. Lord give us a heart not look down on one another because non of us or better than one another. Lord as you set the example in John 13:1-17 when the King of King and Lord of Lords washed his disciples feet, how can we then as people think that we do not have to humble ourselves in our lives at some point.

Lord Jesus give us the courage to live and do your will despite what people say or think.  Lord never let us in our hear set out to purposely do evil to other people in no way shape or form to cause them pain, or turmoil because we know that is not you will. Lord we ask this according to Psalm Psalm 51:10 Create in me a clean heart, O God; and renew a right spirit within me. we as this in the name that is above all names IN JESUS name we pray amen

There are enough jerks in this would, Before God’s throne and all of you I say this sincerely WITH all MY HEART, I DON’T WANT TO BE ONE OF THEM!!  AND WILL NOT BE ONE OF THEM!! I HOPE YOU GUYS FEEL THE SAME WAY.

Everyone We have to Remember….

God watches over “HIS” word to perform it not ours THEREFORE WE MUST PRAY ACCORDING TO WISDOM

Jeremiah 1:12 Then said the Lord unto me, Thou hast well seen: for I will hasten my word to perform it.

Please check back every Thursday, for prayer under God’s direction. Thanks
